The Garnock floods were very cold with ice around the edges, the usual Widgeon, Mallard, Teal and Mute Swans were on the main pond.
This Grey Heron landed just as the sun was dropping.
The sun sets behind Ardeer woods.

First clear day for weeks, we went to Irvine Harbour for a few hours.
Tide was almost fully in, a pair of Oystercatchers roosting across from the old crane and just down from them was this Cormorant
There were quite a few Lapwing in the area as usual and a few Common Seals in Ardeer estuary.
This Red Breasted Merganser was feeding in the harbour entrance.
In the boating pond there were some Tufted Duck.
Back at the harbour this Whooper swan was still in with the Mute Swans waiting to be fed.
This Peregrine falcon out on the saltmarsh is looking at my tent which looks as though it could be doing with some repairs

Very windy and showery day, the main part of Garnock floods was quiet, here is a pair of Mallard duck and a distant Shoveler duck.
Just need to find the end of this rainbow
