Red breasted merganser – Laundry bridge, Eglinton park
A very breezy day made Digiscoping very difficult, but on the way home we managed to Digiscope this Red breasted merganser just before laundry bridge.

Grey Squirrel – Eglinton park (Fuji F50fd test)

Tarryholme pond – Irvine
Noticed the pond was busy when heading home on the by-pass, dropped by for 30 minutes. Very lively with Tufted duck.
Plenty of turf wars in the pond from the Coots.
The Mallard were also having a few disputes.

Grey Heron, river Garnock, Kilwinning
A very cloudy morning but a chance to test the optical zoom (or Digital Tele-Converter as Canon call it) on the Canon A640.
Image 2 & 3 have 1.4x optical zoom and image 4 has 2.3x, it seems to work reasonably well although its hard to get a good test with poor light!
This Grey Heron is feeding at Dirrens dam.
